Batman’s Michael Uslan Shares His Thoughts on the DCA

The mission of the IU Cinema Academy is to help young filmmakers get on the right path towards success, and, we believe this journey starts at any age. Our pre-college programs allow high schoolers to engage with industry professionals that have worked on titles like JokerGame of Thrones, and Empire–as well as learn from IU’s faculty. But, most importantly, it’s the beginning of their professional network.

Our past attendees still network and collaborate well after the summer program ends–no matter which University they end up enrolling at. Since our programs are selective, with limited seats available, past attendees have used our program to launch their academic endeavors at many top film schools across the country. We’d love to continue to share information with you and your students!

This summer we have two Academies–the Digital Cinema Academy (20 students) and the Animation Academy (18 students). Attendees get hands-on experience with the exemplary equipment and facilities offered by Indiana University. They will also receive instruction from Emmy-winning filmmakers, and published screenwriters that are on the faculty at IU.

Our programs are one week long and will run July 13-17, 2020. For more information on the IU Cinema Academy pre-college programs, click here!
