Animation

Due to Covid-19 IU Precollege programs for the Media School are being advised to cancel their summer 2020 sessions. We are abiding by this call to action and will no longer be offering the Digital Cinema Academy or Animation Academy during July 2020. All tuitions will be refunded as quickly as possible. Please stay safe and healthy and we hope to see you at IU in the future!

Learn how to create digital animations for film, television and video games as a member of the inaugural Cinema Academy Animation program.

This five-day program will introduce you to a variety of animation workflows — such as motion capture and key framing — that you’ll use to bring characters to life. Train on the same professional-level equipment and software film studios such as Marvel, Pixar and Dreamworks use to make their films.

This program is limited to 18 students.

Faculty

Rush Swope, a game art professor at IU, will be your mentor for the week. His credits include Game of Thrones, Borderlands and Warcraft.
