Super 8 Filmmaking

The 2020 Dates Have Been Confirmed!

July 13-17, 2020

Master the art of film. As a member of the inaugural Super 8 Filmmaking program, you’ll learn how to shoot movies on Super 8 cameras.

Hands-on workshops will introduce you to working with celluloid film, and lectures will give you important context on the history of film and the filmmaking process, and the current and future integration of film into today’s cinema. Learn from some of the nation’s top archivists and prominent Super 8 filmmakers.

You’ll leave the program with two silent short films that you shot on 8mm film, as well as skills and best practices to implement in your future work.

Space in this program is limited and is first come, first served.
